FAQ
*What are e-Patterns?
e-Patterns are the traditional paper patterns converted into a PDF file. You simply download the PDF file to your computer, then open and print the e-Pattern from your home printer. PDF files require Adobe Reader to be able to open them. Most computers already have Adobe Reader pre-installed from the factory. If your computer does not have Adobe Reader, you can download it for free from www.adobe.com.
*Are Chestnut Junction patterns easy to use?
Yes. Our patterns have easy to follow instructions and walk you through your project step by step. Basic sewing skills and knowledge are needed.
*May I sell the finished item I have made from my Chestnut Junction pattern?

*May I resell my Chestnut Junction paper pattern online?
No. We prohibit the resale of our paper patterns online. This includes but is not limited to eBay and any other auction websites, Etsy, your personal website, marketplace websites, co-op websites, and any other competitive pattern websites.
*My computer says my e-Pattern is damaged or corrupt. What do I do?
Don't panic. The problem you are having is a conflict on your computer. Your e-Pattern is fine and the message you are receiving is a false error. In most cases, the error is a conflict between your temp internet files and Adobe Reader. If the contents of your temp internet files are not emptied on a regular basis, the folder becomes overloaded with stored info from the websites you visit and even the e-Patterns you download. It can/will conflict with other programs on your computer including Adobe Reader.
Below are steps you can follow to open your e-Pattern.
1.Save the e-Pattern directly to your computer.
2.Restart your computer. Open up Adobe Reader, then open the saved e-Pattern through Adobe Reader. If your e-Pattern doesn't open, move to step 3.
3.Empty the contents of your "temp internet files", restart your computer, then open the saved e-Pattern file directly from the e-Pattern file saved on your computer. If you do not know how to delete the contents of your temp internet files, please consult your computer person, owner's manual, or your tech support. If your e-Pattern doesn't open, move to step 4.
4.Reset your router if you have one. If you have only one computer hooked up to your internet service, you do not have a router. If you have more than one computer hooked up to your computer, or if you are in a work/school set-up, you have a router that splits the internet connection to each separate computer. If you do not know how to reset your router, please consult your computer person, owner's manual, or your tech support.
Please understand that this is an Adobe Reader error on your computer, and not an error with the e-Pattern file. Please follow all of the steps above before contacting us. Please allow up to 24 hours for us to respond to you.
*My e-Pattern is printing too large. What do I do?
Adjust your printer settings.
1.In the windows box that appears when you print, click the "preferences" button.
2.Next, click the "features" tab.
3.On the features page you may have several options. Choose the one that applies to you: "print to actual size", "print within margins", "scale to fit page".
Please follow the steps above before contacting us. Please allow up to 24 hours for us to respond to you.
